Papergirl- Charlotte

Charlotte is a rapidly growing city in North Carolina, we've got a lot of local artists here that come from many different backgrounds but due to the lack of unity between them the arts community is lacking a great deal. I know that there are many people here that are trying to improve that and this seems like a great way to unify the efforts in that. The hope is that this will not only help to unify the arts community here in charlotte but to also bring a little spirit of community to charlotte as a whole. this past weekend I was in charleston and Katy was down in florida and we started to spread the word outside of charlotte for donations. also a lot of the people on our facebook group are people who have moved from charlotte to go to school and we hope that they will help spread the word in their new communities, we'd love to see donations from all over. Everyone I' ve talked to about this idea has been very interested and willing to jump on board. As of right now we have made a blogspot site and a facebook group We have not set any final dates yet but we hope to have the showing in march, so that we have plenty of time to prepare and collect donations, after our planning meeting this weekend we will have a specific set of dates that we will use. we are also going to work on finding the right spot to have the show, but we've already got a few in mind. This past weekend we made some flyers which will continue to be put up and passed out. if you have any questions or ideas feel free to contact us at charlottepgk@gmail.com.
